Avante, a Seattle-based startup, has raised $30 million in a Series A round to expand its AI platform for corporate benefits teams. The round was led by Frist Cressey Ventures, with participation from Sorenson Capital, Hearst Ventures, Morgan Stanley Next Level Fund, and existing investor Fuse.

The new funding brings Avante’s total raised to $40 million, following a $10 million seed round led by Fuse in 2024. Avante’s AI agents help companies manage employee health care and other benefits by comparing vendor contracts, reviewing plan documents, and preparing for renewals.

The platform also lets workers check details about their own benefits directly. With the new funds, Avante aims to grow globally and create additional AI tools, following a recent beta rollout of its ‘Ava Agents’ feature.

The company now serves over 70 clients, among them Samsung Semiconductor, Real Chemistry, Zscaler, and News Corp, with annual bookings climbing nearly five times in the past year.

Founded in 2023 by Rohan D’Souza, Carly Eckert, and executive chairman Kabir Shahani, Avante officially entered the market in early 2024 and made its public debut in April 2025.

Avante faces competition from HR and benefits platforms like Workday, ADP, Deel, and Rippling, while also partnering with advisory firms such as Gallagher, OneDigital, Segal Benz, Howden, and USI Insurance Services.

Large employers are projecting a median 9.2% increase in health care costs for 2027, according to Avante.
